European premiere of the second generation Renault Captur took place in the summer of 2019.
The car is built on the CMF-B modular platform of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance and, despite its strong resemblance to its predecessor, consists of 85% new parts. The overall length of the model has increased by 110 mm, up to 4228 mm, the wheelbase by - 20 mm, up to 2639 mm. Width and height remained the same, 1797 and 1566 mm, respectively.
For the Ukrainian market, Zen, Intense Limited Edition and Intense configurations are announced. All of them are gasoline, front-wheel drive and with a 7-speed "robot" EDC with dual clutch. The only difference is that Zen and Intense Limited Edition are offered with a 130-horsepower version of the 1.3 turbo engine, while Intense is offered with 155-horsepower. By the way, the previous generation Captur was sold in Ukraine, including with "mechanics" paired with a 0.9 liter engine, and there were also diesel versions.
The new Captur comes standard with Full LED headlights and taillights, front and side airbags, rain and light sensors, rear parking assist, cruise control, climate control, push-button engine start, heated front seats (height-adjustable driver's seat), rear-view mirrors with automatic folding and sliding second-row seats. In more affordable trim levels, a media system with a 7-inch touchscreen and 17-inch alloy wheels are installed.
The Intense and Intense Limited Edition versions, in addition to the above equipment, include an automatic parking brake, front parking sensors, a rear-view camera, mechanical height adjustment of the passenger seat, an auto-dimming interior mirror and other seat upholstery. For a surcharge, various personalization packages, a surround view system and an Auto Hold function for the parking brake are available.
Serial production of Renault Captur is established in Spain.
