Compared to the previous generation car, the new Duster also had a wider track, the base of the windshield was shifted 100 mm forward, the hood became more embossed, the glazing line now rises more sharply when moving from the front to the stern, and the vertical rear lights gave way to almost square ones, with original "crosses" inside. In addition, a new radiator grille in the style Renault Koleos, and the headlights received a structure familiar from the updated Logan and Sandero.
The approach angle of the second generation Renault Duster is the same as the first generation - 30 degrees. But the departure angle has decreased from 36 to 33 degrees. The trunk volume of the front-wheel drive versions is 478 liters (unchanged), and the all-wheel drive version is 467 liters (+59 liters).
According to the manufacturer, the second-generation Renault Duster differs from its predecessor by reducing aerodynamic noise, better interior trim materials and well-thought-out ergonomics. In the seats of the crossover, the design of the frame has been changed, and a new filler has been used. Along with this, the driver's seat received a folding armrest, adjustable lumbar support and a new height adjustment mechanism (in the range of 60 mm). And the steering wheel is now adjustable not only in height, but also in reach (by 40 and 50 mm, respectively).
The ventilation system has been upgraded to work more efficiently in countries with cold climates. Climate control, keyless entry system, push-button engine start, remote engine start system and blind spot monitoring system have been added to the Renault Duster options list. In top trim levels or for a surcharge, you can find a surround view system with four cameras, automatic headlight switching and an off-road monitor with a compass and inclinometer. Finally, in addition to the side airbags for the Duster, they provided for the possibility of integrating curtain airbags.
Depending on the market, two petrol and a pair of diesel engines are available for the second generation Renault Duster. The 1.6-liter SCe 115 is installed on front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive vehicles in combination with "mechanics" or a CVT (only for monodrive). 2.0-liter "aspirated" with a capacity of 145 hp offered with automatic and all-wheel drive. The 1.5-liter dCi turbodiesel has two boost levels - 90 hp. (only front-wheel drive and manual transmission) and 110 hp. (front and four-wheel drive, "mechanics" or "robot" EDC).
