Description Renault Duster

The debut of the Renault Duster crossover, albeit under the budget Dacia brand, took place in 2010. Since then, more than half a million cars have been sold around the world, including about eight and a half thousand left in Ukraine. And the point is not only in the wide geography of production (Duster is assembled in Romania, Brazil, Russia, India and Colombia) and the global sales market, but, above all, in cheapness.

Of course, today the former slogan "Scandally affordable" sounds like a mockery, however, Renault Duster remains one of the most affordable crossovers in Ukraine. Not least thanks to him, even in the last crisis year, Renault achieved success, having managed to climb two lines in the overall rating, taking fifth place among foreign cars in 2014. And the updated Renault Duster should consolidate this success. 

The updated Renault Duster is the more strikingly different from the pre-styling one, the higher its equipment. In the basic version of the Expression, the changes are noticeable in the new sectional headlights with dual optics, a chrome grille, and a redesigned lamps. At the same time, bumpers and roof rails remain unpainted, and the disks are iron. The color scheme has expanded with olive and a gray color called "comet gray", but this is not a simple varnish, but a "metallic", for which you will have to pay extra. Of the free innovations - new wiper blades, which are now of different lengths and clean the windshield much better.

The basic front-wheel drive Renault Duster 1.6 16v (105 hp) with a five-speed “mechanics” has front airbags, ABS, air conditioning and a multi-format music system on board. The power steering column is still adjustable only in height, but the front power windows have moved to a more convenient place on the door card. In addition, it has Isofix child seat mounts, a folding rear sofa and a complete set of basic car protection: immobilizer, engine crankcase protection, protective guards on brake pads, anti-gravel underbody protection, a lock on the fuel filler cap (relevant, but requiring addiction "feature") and a six-year warranty against corrosion.  

Renault Duster in a more luxurious Privilege version will receive front side airbags (with reminder sensors), an on-board computer (now with an outside temperature sensor), fog lights, power and heated mirrors, and on the driver's side there was a pulsed power window, heated front seats, and body-coloured upper front and rear bumpers. 

If you are only interested in the “two-pedal” Duster, now in the lineup instead of the outdated four-speed "Automatic" DP2 has a 6-speed "robot" EDC with dual clutch. But you have to put up with front-wheel drive and opt for an exclusive diesel modification with a 1.5 engine (110 hp). In addition, the model is offered with a 6-speed "mechanics", which is installed on both front- and all-wheel drive versions.

The updated Renault Duster has become more attractive thanks to chrome roof rails with expressive "Duster" lettering, decorative trims on the exhaust pipe and rear-view mirrors. Not bad emphasize the muscular appearance and new 16-inch wheels. Favorably look around the perimeter of the body (on the doors and along the contour of the wheel arches) and practical protective plastic lining, and under the engine compartment, already in the basic version, you can find engine crankcase protection.
