Description Renault Express

Renault Express - front-wheel drive five-seater compact van, replacing docker model. 

In profile, the new Express is still the same Dokker with sliding rear doors that appeared in 2012, but in front the car has changed a lot in the corporate style of modern cars of the brand. As a result, the length has grown by an inconspicuous 31 mm (up to 4394 mm), and the wheelbase has grown by only 2 mm (2812 mm). Claimed ground clearance is 160 mm, and the largest wheels from the factory are 16 inches in diameter.

The organization of the front panel of the cabin is most reminiscent of the Duster crossover. In the basic version, the new Renault Express is as simple as Dokker: the steering column is adjustable only in height, the headlights are halogen, there is bare metal of the doors inside, the rear door windows do not go down, but open slightly like windows.

On the second row, the Express has a full-fledged three-seater sofa with ISOFIX mounts for child seats, and the total volume of various niches for small things reaches 54 liters. As for the capacity of the trunk, compared to the Docker, the numbers remained the same - from 800 to 3000 liters.

Renault Express engines comply with Euro 5 environmental standards. Petrol aspirated 1.6 SCe with 110 hp. combined with a five-speed “mechanics”, and paired with a 1.5 dCi turbodiesel with a return of 95 hp. instead of a five-speed gearbox, a six-speed gearbox was appointed.

Production of Renault Express was organized at a plant in Morocco, where Dockers were previously produced. Sales in Ukraine started in June 2021.
