Renault Koleos - the presentation of the second generation of the model took place in April 2016 at the Beijing Motor Show. The crossover is built on the same platform - CMF-CD - with Nissan X-Trail, but radically differs from the Japanese relative in design. The main competitors are already mentioned X-Trail, Kia Sorento, Skoda Kodiaq.

The new Koleos is 152mm longer, 12mm narrower and 17mm lower predecessor. The wheelbase has been increased by 155 mm - up to 2705 mm, and the trunk has become more capacious by 55 liters (505 liters). At the same time, the tailgate is now ordinary, and not double-leaf, and even with an optional electric drive, which is available for the top-end configuration. McPherson type front suspension, multi-link rear. The ground clearance of the crossover from Renault is exactly the same as that of the Nissan platform model - 210 mm.

In Ukraine, "Koleos" is available only with a 2.0-liter turbodiesel with a capacity of 177 hp. (torque 380 Nm) with Stop&Start system and X-Tronic CVT. There is also an All Mode 4 × 4‑i transmission with a multi-plate electronically controlled clutch in the rear wheel drive and electronic simulation of interwheel differential locks. Fuel consumption in the combined cycle according to the passport is 5.8 l / 100 km. Acceleration 0-100 km/h takes 9.5 seconds.

The basic equipment of Renault Koleos includes front and front side airbags for the driver and passenger, front and rear curtain airbags, anti-lock braking system, vehicle stability control, hill start assist, LED daytime running lights, air conditioning and heated mirrors. Also installed by default are heated front seats, power windows for all doors (impulse only for the driver), rear parking sensor, cruise control, automatic parking brake, electrically adjustable and heated exterior mirrors, leather steering wheel, basic audio system with a 4.2-inch display (+USB, jack, Bluetooth and 6 speakers) and alloy wheels with a diameter of 17 inches.

At the intermediate level of equipment, Koleos is equipped with 2-zone climate control, rain and light sensors, a hands-free key card, electric folding mirrors, an electrochromic rear-view mirror, an R-Link2 media system with a 7-inch touch screen and fog lights. The top equipment boasts Full LED headlights, a blind spot monitoring system, electrically adjustable front leather seat ventilation, an 8.7-inch display, contour LED interior lighting and an EasyBreak system - the second-row divided backrest sections can be folded out of the trunk in two movements.

Optional Bose premium audio system with noise cancellation, 12 speakers and subwoofer, 18-inch alloy wheels, power panoramic sunroof, automatic parking system, heated steering wheel and rear seats. Also for the model, a row control system and a function of automatic switching of headlights far / near are proposed.

Renault Koleos is produced at the Renault Samsung plant in South Korea.
